Starts but doesn't stop.

Help!!! I can connect to spykee ok and when i move in any direction it keeps going in that direction and doesnt stop. i have to get up and turn it off.

1. I tried to reset it - didnt work
2. charged it - didnt work
3. ???? out of ideas ?????

Mine is doing the same thing. I have contacted Meccano about it, but no response. It seems that only movement causes it to freeze like that. I can control the lights and audio and everything just fine. I have also tried a reset, letting the battery drain completely, reinstalling the computer software, on windows xp, vista, and 7.

Just received this from them today. Not sure why they think it's a battery issue.

Dear Spykee user,
You must encounter a problem with your charger, docking station or
battery that prevent your battery from charging well.

Unfortunately, Meccano considers that some components could be broken
when trying to remove the batteries. This has to be done by one of our
technicians

However, our various distributors in the US and worldwide do offer to
replace it of take it for repair, but we cannot guarantee that they
will. We advise you to contact your local distributor. If he won't
replace it, the standard procedure is sending the robot, in its original
box if possible to the following address:

The robot has to be sent with a copy of the invoice, your full address
and country and phone number for the delivery of the repaired robot.
